Anna Vincent, another patient of Dr. Walton's, experienced the same success at the Lascohobas clinic. Suffering from body rashes, weight loss and abdominal pains, the 36-year old mother was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in October 2002. After receiving treatment for both conditions, Anna has made a tremendous recovery. She has gained more than 35 pounds and has resumed training to become a seamstress. While attending classes, Anna earns income as a vendor at the local market.
"Without antiretroviral therapy, I would not be here for my children," says Anna. "I would not be here at all... Now I can create a future for my children."
